  4. Andrew,

Hi, guys! Just finished Level 1 and wanted to say thank you for your work. I had been learning Korean by myself before I came across your website, and even though I had already studied most of the topics covered in Level 1, it was good to review them and learn some small but interesting details. Your audios are so entertaining that they are fun to listen to for people with any level of Korean (not that mine is particularly high ?). Iโ€™m a big fan of yours! Once again, ๊ฐ์‚ฌํ•ฉ๋‹ˆ๋‹ค! ๊ณ ๋งˆ์›ก! ^_^

  8. koreanlearner,

guys can you give me a solution for learning korean and palance it with school im truely confiused cant find time in these exams and school + iwant to ask you a question whats you reason for studing korean

    • Christine Liwanag,

Hello! Since it’s Christmas break,I am studying korean again! My advice for you is to study for 30 minutes if you are busy on doing school works but if you have more time, study for 1 hr. And, if you are too busy with acads, just review vocabulary words and that’s it.

    • Pedro,

์•ˆ๋…•ํ•˜์„ธ์š”. I don’t exactly have a trick when it came to balancing Korean self-study and exams/school. However when I didn’t do exams I study Korean, but when I did I just stop studying Korean completely to focus on my exams. Balancing school, exams and also Korean self-study is really hard but I recommend that you focus on your schoolwork more than the Korean.

Somethings maybe you could do though is pick a day and study an hour every week during exams. Just revise the stuff you have learned, instead of studying new things. Which would leave more time to study for school exams.

I study Korean because it is something that I want to use in my future. Plus I find it really interesting, the language and also the Korean culture.

      Hope this helps

  9. ,

Level 1 Korean Grammar was really useful for me, I was able to get integrated into learning Korean. I am now on level 4 of the curriculum because level 1 was able to get me learning Korean easily. Now in english ๐Ÿ™‚ : At the beginning of this year I stared listening to K-pop and watching K-dramas, which is not something I ever thought would interest me. I then discovered Koreanenglishman and Jolly on Youtube, which introduced me to even more of the Korean culture, people and language. This made me want to understand and possibly even speak Korean. Fast foward 6 months: I’m currently midway through Level 2, I can understand quite a bit of the language and even have been able to use what I’ve learned so far to speak to the waitresses at a ๋ง›์ง‘ nearby (they were very impressed and gave our table extra ๊น€์น˜). I am really thankful for all the free resources you provide and for making the lessons super practical and easy to follow!

Hi, I’m Hwayeon from TalkToMeInKorean. We are really happy to hear you like us! You’ve been studying Korean for almost 6 months, but your Korean skill is so amazing!! Keep studying hard with TTMIK, and you might speak Korean comfortably soon ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Priyal Shenoy,

First off I’ll start by saying how grateful I am for all the efforts you guys are taking for literal strangers to be able to learn Korean. I love how you guys go about it too.
Coming to the question, I’m confused about how you pronounce “ne”.
I’ve watched one Korean show before, and it always sounded like it was pronounced as “de” “day”. When you slowly pronounced it I did hear ne but on normal usage in a sentence it again sounded like “de”.
I tried pronouncing it as “ne” but the “n” sound is so clear in it that it doesn’t sound authentic. I would appreciate some help. Thank you

    • Jennie,

It is “ne”, Its the way they say the n that makes it sound like a d but im sure they understand whichever way you say it.

    • Hwayeon Kim,

I just checked and the link works:) If you cannot open it, please visit our TTMIK facebook.

    • Priyal Shenoy,

Thank you for replying Hwayeon Kim. Unfortunately it tells me the link might be broken or a page might have been removed when I tried to open it. Awaiting further response. Thank you

  15. Mirzohid Abdulhayev,

Thank you for all. I’m super lazy. I have been living in Korea more than a year and a half. I still can’t speak but I can assure you that whatever I understand when a Korean person talks to me, it is because of you. Good luck to you all.

    Question:
I am interested in getting a beginner Korean learning book. What would you reccomend- there are so many options??!

    • Rosi,

Once you get used to reading hangeul, i would get the easy korean reading for beginners ๐Ÿ™‚
Otherwise you can get the grammar textbook depending on what stage you are at and study with that.
I hope this helped hahah anyways, have fun learning <3
