    Lesson 8 끝났어요.
But I have a doubt in the sentence at the end of the lesson.
    저는 매일 밤 열 시에 …..
I got the sentence until this but can’t figure out the next word. Can you help me out please ?

    • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

저는 매일 밤 열 시에 드라마를 봐요! 🙂

      • rutuja badbe,

        감사합니다!!

  6. Natalia,

Hi! In level 2 lesson 9 there is a sentence which you translated it as “I ate everything. There are three left.” Is this how you write it in Hangul? (i am pretty sure there is a mistake)

    다 먹어. 세 개 남았어요.

    Thank you for teaching us!!

    • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

      “다 먹었어요. 세 개 남았어요.” is correct.
      Keep up with your Korean!

      • Natalia,

        Thank you!

  7. Lala,

      I just follow you

  8. Kelly Tobar,

Thank you so much TTMIK for your lessons. They are so helpful.

However, I’m a little bit stuck on two of the sample sentences from lesson 4.
    1. 저는월요일에영화를봤어요. Why was 에 added after monday in this sentence?
    2. 어제는지짜신나는금요리이었어요. What verb is being modified to past tense in “이었어요”?
    감사합니다!

    • Alina,

For the first one, 에 is used to mark the time. So if you were to say “I studied at 4 o’clock” it becomes “내가 4 시에 공부했어요.” You put 에 after the time to mark it. And the same thing applies to days.

And for the second question the verb being conjugated is 이다.
      I hope that helps! 🙂

    • ani,

      1. 에 translates to, “on/to”. In this sentence, the speaker is saying that they watched the movie /on/ Monday, that’s why it’s placed after Monday 😀
      2. The verb being modified is 요리

      • Kelly Tobar,

ohhh I see now what I did wrong. Thank you so much!

  9. Natalia Zych,

Thank you for creating such a great content!
Not only everything is explained very well but also the visual side is clear and aesthetically pleasing, which makes it even more enjoyable 😀
    TTMiK 정말 재미 있어요!

어제 이 시간은 피자를 먹고 있었어요.

  11. Cristine Laguindab,

안녕하새요~ I have finished level 1 and now starting level 2. I want to find a study partner, we can can learn from each other and be friends!! My Instagram acc is @csstnee

  12. lena,

I need some help, lol. I’m so confused right now. I used to study from another website, then I moved to TTMIK. In that website I had already studied the different korean honorifics?, and from what I understood, you add -겠어요 to talk about the future (polite speech), but here they say you have to add -ㄹ/을 거예요. I’m so confused! What are the differences? 🙁

    • JCWineDog12345,

Im not fluent in Korean or anything but I’ve been studying for a year or so so I’m not 100% sure on this. However I know that Verb stem + ㄹ/을 거예요. is a more general, basic and simple form or experssing in future tense and is more common from my experience, however it could be just plain polite in some contexts but you can add the hourific suffix -시- or use the formal or polite term of the verb to alter the overall expression of the sentence in terms of formalness and politeness. And although -겠 can be used to express future tense in specific cases for example when you are assuming a possible future event or what you are intending to do in the near future, but it is often just used in fixed expression such as (알겠습니다, 모르겠습니다…) and you cna check out Level 6 Lesson 16 to find out more about this suffix. (I hope this was accurate if not then I apologise. Wish this will help you figure out your query!!😁😁😁)

      • Whisper Windz,

if you’re not fluent why are you trying to help? let the expert answer instead. team TTMIK is always ready to help here

  13. Mariana Vieira Moura,

안녕하세요! The answer for the quiz of lesson 8, level 2: 저는 매일 밤 열시 들어(?). I couldn’t get the last word haha. Thank you for the lessons!

    • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

저는 매일 밤 열시에 드라마를 봐요! : )

  14. ,

TTMIK 안녕하세요! In Level 2, Lesson 21, the last example given is ‘저는 책을 읽는 것보다 사는 것을 더 좋아해요.’, would the sentence ‘저는 사는 것을 책을 읽는 것보다 더 좋아해요.’ be also considered as correct? 🙂

    • ,

I’m sorry, I meant: would the sentence ‘저는 책을 사는 것을 읽는 것보다 더 좋아해요.’ be also considered as correct?

      • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

        Yeap. Both are correct!

      • Jorden joon yan,

I was wondering that too, I thought there was a mistake in the PDF, as it seemed translated the other way around.

      • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

They are both correct and mean the same. They are just written in different orders.

  15. Priyanshi Jain,

안녕하세요. Thank you for your wonderful lessons. It helped me a lot. Ki
But i am having a little problem in understanding the meaning of Korean words directly as I have to first translate it into English then only I am able to understand it’s meaning
Can you please help me out in solving this problem

    • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

Thank you for studying with us!
That is actually very normal. The more you get familiar with the word, the more directly you will get the meaning.
      Keep listening and reading words!

  20. Destiny Charles,

Hey TTMIK! Quick question: When a day of the week is the topic of a sentence, are the particles 에 and 는 supposed to follow one after the other?

    • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

      Hi~
-에 is not a topic marker which means it cannot be attached to a topic.
ex) 월요일은 길다 (Monday is long)
ex) 월요일에 파티를 하자 (Let’s party on Monday)

  21. Lena,

Hi I’m over half way through level 2 if anyone wants to practice with me then please message me my ig is xxlenajacksonxx and kakao ID is lenajackson270

  23. Titania Scarlet,

Do I have to know aaall the lessons of level 1 at this point ? like all the words and verbs we used , becaus they are some who I forgot ( sorry if they are faults my english is not very good )

    • Karima Boutalib,

Hello ,, it happens to me too because we don’t practice our korean language with anyone so far that is why we forget the vocabularies… I’am using an application “korean vocabularies” helps me to review, memorize and write vocabularies ,,,

  24. Winki Suen,

I have seen from other website that -만 has other meanings too! Like for 1.comparison and 2.emphasis
    1. 요리솜씨가 엄마만 못하다
    2. 자꾸만 지각하면 선생님께 혼날 거에요.
I would like to know how to use the above two ways of -만. Thanks a lot!!

    • TalkToMeInKorean Staff,

      1. 엄마만 못하다 means 엄마 is better than you. -만 uses for someone who is better than the other when compare two subject.
      2. 자꾸만 means keep repeating, so in the second sentence, -만 indicates an emphasis on repeating action.

      • Winki Suen,

so for the second meaning of emphasis, is there any other examples other from 자꾸만?Thanks!! or it is the only example?

  25. Shaila,
