Reviews

  1. Anna Shum,

For Review Quiz for Lesson 16: I don’t understand why answer for question 3 “It’s really fast. = _____ 빨라요” is not “아주” ; and answer for question 8 “어제 길에서 경은 선생님 봤어요.” is not “진짜?”. Please explain. Thanks!

    • Andre _,

Hi! this is quite a late reply but for the first one – 아주 means quite. And since you want to say “It’s REALLY fast” rather than “It’s QUITE

      • Andre _,

actually nvm…. if for q3 its jogeum then why does the translation say “its very fast”? I guess i dont have enough context

    • Anna Shum,

I mean why is the correct answer for question 3 is “조금”, and for question 8 is “조금만?” ? Please help!

      • Kyla,

This must be really really late to reply back to as I just finished Level 2 and read comments every time I finish a level. But for Lesson 16, question 3 correct answer is jogeum because the question is asking for the WRONG answer, like what would not fit in the sentence, and since jogeum means a little bit, it would not match the phrase “it is really fast”. You had the right idea, but don’t worry I made the same mistake for not reading the question CAREFULLY. Haha.

As for question 8, same concept, the question is asking what DOES NOT fit the sentence or make sense at all. And since jogeum-man means only a little bit? That response does not fit with the sentence.

Basically just reading the question! Those questions get me all the time! Don’t worry 🙂

  5. Ian Paul B. Saligumba,

I am also happy that I am Level 3 in the Level Test after finishing Level 2. The small progress that I make every week motivates me to continue my journey in learning the Korean language.

  6. Ian Paul B. Saligumba,

Just finished Level 2 🤩 I listened to every lesson many times, listened to all the sample dialogues, and answered all the quizzes before proceeding to Level 3. I will still come back to Level 2 sometimes to review because it is really difficult to remember all the words and all the rules. I also bought an ebook of the workbook to supplement what I just learned. Can’t wait to start Level 3. Thank You TTMIK!

    • Ratih Dwi Zulya,

      Nice!

  7. Alina Kirse,

    Hello! 🙂
Is there any way to download the PDF files all at ones?

    • Alina Kirse,

      *once, of course

  8. Ojorayinlumi Kitua-Okochu,

안녕하세요 선생님! I hope you had a nice weekend. I think that there is a mistake in one of the review questions in lesson 16 of level 2. Number 8 to be exact. The question went along the lines of “I saw 경은 선생님” . I thought the reply would be “진짜?”, but it was “조금만”. Would you mind taking a look at it please? Thank you in advance.

  9. Lydia Godwin,

Just to confirm, in Korean you say “go through the corner” not go around the corner. Lesson 28.

  10. Xenia,

The lessons on particles are very well done. However, the fact that “you” is understood to be the subject when the object is marked with the particle might be helpful to explain. This is particularly as it is so different from English.

  11. Joanne Muldoon,

    Yay! 2 단계 끝나요!

  23. PremiumSkittle,

I just finished Level 2 about 30 minutes ago and I’m looking for a study partner/group my KakaoTalk ID: 파란 요정 please add me if you are interested in studying with me. One more thing for TTMIK Staff I have a question about the verb: 가다 can you use it for sentences like “GOING to sleep” or “GOING to sit down” (저는 잘 거예여 but instead of 잘 its 잘가 or 가) even though technically you’re not moving. I know this is probably a dumb question but I’m really curious.

    • Jessica Lee,

Hi PremiumSkittle. I am not staff, but yes, there is a way that you can use 가다 when talking about “going to go to sleep”. It is a more advanced grammar form. You could say “자러가” or “자러가요”. Go to sleep/I’m going to go to sleep) This grammar is formed when you go to do something. For example, you can also say “먹으러가” or “먹으러가요” (Go to eat/Let’s go to eat/I’m going to eat, etc.) So you would drop the 다 and then add 으러가 or 러가 depending on if it ended in a vowel or consonant. TTMIK has a lesson which can be found on Level 10 lesson 2. Hope that helps. Also I am an advanced student and Korean teacher. I love teaching Korean so you can add me to your chat and I can answer questions if you have. I am starting a Korean blog and hope to do Youtube as well so I’d love to get your requests or ideas for what you guys need help with. Feel free to add me. My id is: rmacissej

Can I join? My ID: Carol030117

      • Dreamy World,

Can you guys make a group ? So everyone could join .

    • Alessia Barbu,

hi, honestly I do not think that 가다 can be used in that situation. As in English, we don’t use the verb “to go” to say “I am going to bed”, but “to be going to”. I think you should give it a search about it because I believe that there should be a specific lesson for that. <3

    • Zuzanna Sołtykowska,

Hey guys, I would love to join the group chat too! my KakaoTalk ID is Zuza99 🙂

  24. Simone,

Hi! I was wondering why it’s not possible to comment on each lesson? In the audio recording they always encourage us to leave comments! 🙂 I always thought that meant here on talktomeinkorean.com, not on soundcloud. But here I cannot comment on the lesson…

    • Oliver,

      That was the old website!

It had Discord comments under every single lesson. And over the years gathered quite a lot of helpful information and people helping each other out. But they wiped all of that when they redid the website. Wasn’t a popular choice in learning circles, I can tell you that. And now they also made top level comments on this new site premium too as it seems… which is weird and arbitrary as free users like me can still post replies.

      • IYI Dania,

        Wait we can, whoa

  25. Aaron Cheung,
