I am doing level 3, lesson 6 now and was confused about the difference between 앞으로 (왔어요) and 앞에 (갈게요). Also, I couldn’t hear the example of the flight at the end of the audio. I think it’s 비행기 몇시….. Can anyone please help me with these questions? Thank you ^_^

  Thanks for the question. 🙂 There isn’t much difference between 앞으로 and 앞에 when they mean ‘toward the front’. For example, “앞으로 갈게요/왔어요” and “앞에 갈게요/왔어요” are both correct. However, when you say “in the future/from now on” in Korean, you should say “앞으로”, not “앞에”. ex) “나는 앞으로 경찰관이 될거에요! (I will be a police officer)” (ㅇ) “나는 앞에 경찰관이 될거에요!” (x) The answer of your last question would be “비행기 몇 시에 탈 거에요?” In the audio clip, 현우 said What time is the flight? -> What time will you get on the flight? =(경은 said) 비행기 몇시에 탈거에요? Hi. Can someone help me on Level 3 Lesson 9?

이상하다 [i-sang-ha-da] = to be strange
이상하 + ㄴ 것 같아요 = 이상한 것 같아요. [i-sang-han geot ga-ta-yo.]
= It seems to be strange. / I think it is strange.

Could this sentence also be translated as “it seemed to be strange” or “I thought it was strange”? I thought the 한 made the sentence past tense.

Hi! Can someone please enlighten me why words like 바쁘다 and 나쁘다 are conjugated into 바빠요 and 나빠요 when its verb stem ending is not ㅏ or ㅗ.

  And one more thing, there are verbs like 슬프다 or 크다 that only end in an ㅡ , in this case you have to add 어 to the verbstem because it doesn’t end inㅏ or ㅗ. And then drop the ㅡ . 슬프다 becomes 슬퍼요 and 크다 becomes 커요. I hope it’s clear now 😊

  When a verbstem ends with the vocal ㅡ , you have to look at the vocal before ㅡ . This would be ㅏ in 바쁘다. ㅏ or ㅗ become ㅏ while conjugating and then 바쁘다 becomes 바빠요. I hope you understand what I mean because I’m not good in explaining
